The Federal Chancellery is seeking to fill a permanent position in Division 114 "Information and Communication Technology" at its Berlin office.

We are looking for an IT Senior Expert (m / f / d) for our highly secure IT operations.

Reference number: 33 / 25

The Federal Chancellery provides comprehensive support to the Federal Chancellor in his tasks and coordinates work within the Federal Government. Division 114 is responsible for the secure operation and continuous development of information and communication technology, operating its own systems and collaborating closely with external service providers from the federal administration and private sector.

To further develop our digital infrastructure, we are inviting you to join our network / infrastructure team.

What you can expect from us :

1. Architecture and co-responsibility for the development, operation, and administration of secure, high-availability IT solutions / services
2. Active design and further development of our secure IT for client, cloud, collaboration, and enterprise network environments
3. Implementing crisis-proof and security-sensitive IT solutions
4. Supporting growing requirements in data and AI areas
5. Optimizing internal IT processes and digitalization efforts
6. Supporting and collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners

What you bring to the table :

1. Successfully completed studies (Master's degree or equivalent) in (business) computer science, communications engineering, or a relevant field
2. Solid expert knowledge in Microsoft or Linux environments
3. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Enterprise environments
4. Recognized certifications in cyber, network, endpoint, or cloud security
5. Knowledge of architecture and expertise in highly available, security-sensitive IT solutions and standards
6. Expertise in a leading collaboration solution
7. Experience in digitization and IT operations
8. German language skills (at least business fluent - level C1) and good English skills (at least level B1)
9. Analytical thinking, good communication skills, and ability to present complex IT solutions
10. Strong teamwork, social skills, and sense of responsibility
11. Willingness to undergo security checks and investigations as per Section 10 of the Security Check Act
