The Office for Digitization and Information Technology is the City of Cologne's innovative IT service provider. It combines forward-looking forms of work, an attractive office building, an interesting and diverse working environment, and family friendliness in a modern atmosphere.

User Support is the central point of contact for all inquiries (calls, questions, complaints, incidents) relating to information processing and telecommunications. Currently, more than 12,000 IV workstations at 20 locations and around 6,700 mobile devices of the entire administration and political representatives in the city of Cologne are directly supported by the user support of the IV customer service.

YOUR FUTURE TASKS :

  1. Manage the HelpDesk team, currently consisting of eleven members.
  2. Take responsibility for employee management and development.
  3. Organize personnel planning, technical equipment, and process optimization as a 'single point of contact' for all customer service points.
  4. Support strategic planning and further development of user support services.
  5. Oversee daily operations of the HelpDesk.
  6. Ensure process optimization and support obstacle removal through comprehensive reporting systems.
  7. Support complex IT projects.
  8. Handle occupational health and safety matters within your area.

YOUR PROFILE :

  1. Successfully completed a university degree in a relevant field (e.g., computer science or business informatics).
  2. Proven skills and experience in the IT sector.

WE OFFER YOU :

A modern, future-oriented job in Cologne with flexible working hours within the public sector framework. The position is permanent, available part-time or full-time, and offers a salary in accordance with public service pay groups.

The salary range in pay group 11 (TVöD-IKT) is currently between 4,032.38 euros and 5,975.19 euros, depending on experience.
