Descripción del empleo

The Archdiocese of Bamberg, with a history stretching back over 1,000 years, currently consists of over 300 parishes, which are organized and united in 35 pastoral care areas. It has around 590,000 Catholics and around 7,300 employees. It covers large parts of Upper and Middle Franconia and extends as far as Lower Franconia and the Upper Palatinate. The Archbishop's Ordinariate in Bamberg is the administrative center of the archdiocese with eight main departments and twelve staff units.

The Archdiocese of Bamberg is looking for a new member of staff for the Information Technology department at the earliest possible date.

IT Officer (m / f / d)

with a focus on service desk & field support

based in Bamberg for the technical management of the existing team.

The scope of employment is 100% (currently 39 hours / week).

Responsibilities :

  • Coordination and management of the Service Desk & Field Support unit
  • Maintaining and ensuring efficient and service-oriented processing of IT inquiries
  • Optimization of IT resources and proactive pooling of unused resources
  • Management of projects
  • Management of deployed service providers
  • Responsibility for compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and quality standards
  • Identification of improvement potential and implementation of corresponding measures
  • Establishment and responsibility of user experience management
  • Reporting to the technical management or staff unit management

Qualifications :

  • Completed university degree (e.g. computer science) or employees with completed vocational training as an IT specialist (m / f / d) with equivalent skills and experience
  • In-depth knowledge of ITIL for IT service management
  • Strong customer orientation with technical know-how
  • Experience in the coordination of an IT service / support team is an advantage
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Team-oriented and responsible way of working
  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges
  • Identification with the goals and values of the Catholic institution
