With its three faculties of Computer Science, Tourism / Transport and Economics, the University of Worms is an internationally oriented campus university with a strong industry focus. As a specialized post-university institution, the German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer focuses on the future-oriented further development of administrative sciences in research and teaching with its chairs of public administration and administrative sciences.

In close cooperation between the two universities, the following position is to be filled at the earliest possible date :

Information Security Officer (m / f / d)

• Reference number 2025-11-P -

Full-time (39 hours / week) - permanent - EG 13 TV-L

• Development and coordination of the security concept and associated sub-concepts and guidelines
• Informing the Executive Board about the status quo of information security
• Coordination of security-related projects
• Investigation of security-related incidents including reporting and introduction of an infrastructure for recording security reports
• Sensitization and training of university staff and, if applicable, students on information security
• Creation and review of regulations in the context of information security (procedural regulations, company documentation, service agreements, service instructions, guidelines)
• Conducting internal IT baseline protection audits and IT security audits
• Creation of plans (e.g. restart, recovery, business continuity and crisis communication plan) in collaboration with the data centers
• Monitoring the implementation of requirements from the ZKI and BSI guidelines
• Participation in the ISB committee of the RARP (Rhineland-Palatinate Data Center Alliance)

Your profile

• Completed, relevant university degree in computer science or IT security (diploma or master's degree) or equivalent qualifications
• Very good IT knowledge from professional experience
• Qualification or training as an "IT security officer" is desirable
• Experience in the creation and implementation of IT security concepts and in the implementation of security analyses is desirable
• Knowledge of the IT baseline protection of the BSI or ZKI is desirable
• Very good knowledge of German (at least level B2)
• Good knowledge of English
• Willingness to be mobile between university locations
