Android Developer (m / f / d) for permanent position

DIVERA GmbH digitizes and accelerates processes for companies, authorities, fire departments, and aid organizations. We develop and operate the alerting and availability system DIVERA 24 / 7 as a SaaS platform.

Our app enables customers to reach their personnel within seconds during emergencies, operational disruptions, and critical incidents. Managers and dispatchers are informed immediately about team readiness, and real-time communication is facilitated via an integrated messenger.

We aim to further develop the Android app and expand its features. As an Android specialist, you will have significant responsibilities and a clear goal: to build the perfect app. Become our Android expert!

Tasks

  • Independently develop and enhance our in-house app, currently 90% Java, with ongoing Kotlin integration.
  • Integrate REST interfaces and program custom views.
  • Ensure compatibility with older smartphones, currently up to Android 8.
  • Adjust energy-saving settings for various manufacturers.
  • Collaborate continuously with other IT specialists on design, client-server architecture, and testing.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Java, Kotlin, and native Android app development.
  • Familiarity with the Developer Preview and a passion for Android development.
  • Understanding of databases and web interfaces.
  • Commitment to writing high-quality, testable, and maintainable code.
  • Good sense of contemporary UI design and user experience.
  • Experience with Android Studio, FCM, Git, and Jira is advantageous.
