SO / Sotogrande, a luxury hotel in the beautiful coastal town of Sotogrande, Spain, is seeking a professional and customer-focused Restaurant Supervisor to join our team. As a Restaurant Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our guests while leading and motivating our restaurant staff.
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service and high customer satisfaction
- Lead, train, and motivate the restaurant team to maintain SO / Sotogrande's high standards of service
- Manage staff scheduling, assignments, and performance evaluations
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
- Handle customer inquiries, special requests, and resolve any issues promptly and professionally
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain menu knowledge and assist with food and wine pairings
- Manage inventory, place orders, and control costs while maintaining quality
- Implement and maintain SO / Sotogrande's luxury hospitality standards
- Assist in organizing and executing special events and promotions
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the restaurant area
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in restaurant supervision or management, preferably in luxury dining establishments
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Excellent customer service skills and a passion for creating memorable dining experiences
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage service, including wine pairing
- Proficiency in using Point of Sale (POS) systems and inventory management tools
- Solid understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Excellent conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Fluency in English and Spanish; additional languages are a plus
- High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred
- Food Safety Certification (e.g., ServSafe) required
- Knowledge of Spanish and international cuisine
- Familiarity with luxury hospitality standards and practices
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
