Job Title: Head waiter / Head Waitress

Reports to: Restaurant Manager

Responsible for: Developing an excellent customer service

Job Requirements:

  • Education in: Hospitality/ Tourism
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years
  • Languages: English: Professional Level / Spanish: Professional Level

Other languages are highly valued (French, German, Russian, Arabic)

Bring an excellent experience to customers.

Participate in the development of the department and restaurant with the Management Team.

Key tasks as follows:

  1. Guest/Operation:
  2. Ensuring the set standards and expectations are maintained on the highest personal level.
  3. Ensure a safe working environment is achieved in line with laid out restaurant procedures and policies.
  4. Control and lead the service of the assigned rank together with the assistant.
  5. Guarantee the correct assembly and disassembly of the range.
  6. Be able to recommend and adapt the courses to the customer.
  7. Defend our menu by the full knowledge of each dish and their ingredients.
  8. Collaborate in customer service, carrying out functions of receiving, locating, advising and dismissing customers in relation to the gastronomic offer.
  9. Comply with and enforce quality, health safety and protection standards data, established by the organization.
  10. Ensure satisfaction in the customer experience by complying with quality standards.
  11. Maintain the standards in terms of allergens. Be able to recommend alternatives and solutions taking care of customer allergies.
  12. Ensure statistics and reports are submitted in a timely manner in accordance to the national and local laws and regulations.
  13. Review customers procedures and update accordingly.
  1. Financial:
  2. Ensure that every table receives the correct bill and do the payment before leaving the restaurant. Keep in mind the pre-payment or discount reservations.
  3. Optimize, as far as possible, the waste of resources.
  1. People & Development:
  2. Assist in building innovative communication tools to generate awareness of and support of Values.
  3. Develop a culture of excellence within the team.
  4. Assist in training and develop the new team members.
  5. Be part of a creating and nurturing philosophy throughout the business to ensure a great team spirit.
  1. Sales & Marketing:
  2. Build relationships with key customers and companies to increase business levels, building profiles of these guests’ needs in order to provide outstanding service.
  3. Work with the team to develop the offers adapting it to the individual customer and market conditions.
  4. Be responsible for coordinating the development of the restaurant's customers profile records, especially for regular customers.
  5. Give frequent updates to the Management team of customers profiles.
  6. Assist with marketing and sales events/activities on an ad hoc basis.
  7. Provide information and statistics relating to the up-selling activities realized.
  8. Be aware of and review all customer comments, both positive and negative, and where necessary advise on changes to avoid repetition.
