About the Job

Our client, a leading Healthcare sector is currently looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Scriptwriter with exceptional storytelling and writing skills to join our content team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing compelling scripts that bring our stories to life across a variety of video formats, including explainer videos, branded content, social videos, and patient education. The ideal candidate should be able to craft clear narratives, convey complex ideas simply, and write with rhythm and visual flair that fits video pacing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the creative, production, and marketing teams to conceptualise and write scripts that connect with the target audience and drive key messaging.
  • Create new or transform existing medical content into engaging and relatable video narratives suitable for patients, caregivers, and the general public.
  • Write, review, and refine scripts for various video formats — including voiceovers, interviews, testimonials, and motion graphics-based content.
  • Adapt messaging and tone of voice based on video platform (e.g. YouTube, Instagram Reels, TikTok) and target audience.
  • Participate in brainstorms and storyboarding sessions, contributing ideas that enhance visual storytelling.
  • Ensure scripts align with necessary guidelines and support overall campaign objectives.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to validate content accuracy, particularly in videos containing healthcare or product-related claims.
  • Stay up to date with trends in video content, especially in the healthcare, wellness, and digital storytelling space.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in Film, Media, Mass Communication, Creative Writing, English, or a related field
  • Minimum 1 – 2 years of experience writing for video, advertising, content marketing, or branded storytelling
  • Demonstrated ability to write clear, engaging scripts for different formats and platforms
  • Familiarity with visual storytelling, pacing, and scripting conventions across short- and long-form videos
  • Experience working with creative and video production teams (e.g. editors, animators, videographers) is an advantage
  • Basic knowledge of video editing or storyboarding tools (e.g. Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Canva, Figma) is a plus
  • Able to interpret and write for healthcare and wellness topics clearly and sensitively
  • Strong grasp of English, with a keen eye for tone, structure, clarity, and accuracy
  • Knowledge of Asia’s cultural context and current trends is highly desirable
  • Self-motivated team player with strong time management and communication skills
