What are we looking for?

We are seeking a Java Technical Lead with experience in AWS, Azure, GCP. This role involves contributing to projects with a global leader in credit cards, auto loans, banking, and savings accounts. This is a 100% remote position for candidates located in Spain.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead the development team to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software
2. Set coding standards, best practices, and ensure adherence
3. Mentor and coach junior developers to enhance their skills and performance
4. Provide technical guidance and support to the team
5. Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable software
6. Ensure stable and smooth maintenance of delivered software within the DevOps model "you build it, you own it, and you run it"
7. Optimize performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
8. Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle, including QA and peer review
9. Work towards goals and visions defined by Product Management
10. Innovate within your team and contribute within your technical domain

Mandatory Requirements

1. Strong Java programming skills and experience building APIs
2. Deep understanding of all stages in the Software Development Life Cycle
3. Knowledge of design patterns and principles (e.g., SOLID principles)
4. Experience with different testing types: Unit, API, Acceptance, Load Testing
5. Experience with distributed architectures like SOA or MSA
6. Experience with event-driven architectures
7. Experience with REST APIs
8. Relevant experience with AWS services
9. Experience with Gradle or Maven
10. Experience with Enterprise Jenkins
11. Experience working in an Agile environment (e.g., Scrum, SAFe)

Preferred Skills

1. Experience working in highly regulated environments such as banking
2. AWS certification
3. Experience with serverless technologies (AWS Lambda, AWS Fargate)
4. Experience with TDD and BDD methodologies
