Why we need this role

The Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) team supports and facilitates the development of a robust ESG strategy, ensuring that our sustainability activities go beyond compliance. We aim to deliver an industry-leading ESG programme and raise awareness among all Colt employees. As a global leader in digital infrastructure, we are committed to reducing our environmental impact and strengthening our social and governance responsibilities. This role will support the business in executing the ESG strategy, particularly in Human Rights, Ethics, and sustainable procurement, collaborating across groups and enhancing EU Taxonomy alignment and supply chain engagement.

What you will do
  1. Lead and develop ESG workstreams related to human rights, ethics, conflict minerals, supply chain decarbonisation, etc.
  2. Collaborate with ESG Data Analysts and external consultants to develop metrics and dashboards providing meaningful insights.
  3. Coordinate with HR, Procurement, and other teams to embed ESG understanding and EU Taxonomy requirements.
  4. Develop policies and processes to promote and protect human rights, ethical practices, and decarbonisation, ensuring compliance and recommending improvements.
  5. Define and drive ESG communication strategies with the ESG Executive, raising awareness of ethical standards and human rights issues.
  6. Engage with internal colleagues at all levels to align with SBTs, CSRD, and EU taxonomy standards.
  7. Advise colleagues on sustainability matters and develop policies to embed sustainability across the business.
  8. Collaborate with external bodies to enhance supply chain data collection and share best practices (e.g., CDP Supply Chain, UNGC, Responsible Business Initiative, WEC).
  9. Stay informed on industry changes and best practices, translating research into actionable business strategies.
  10. Support procurement in engaging suppliers on sustainability, aligning with ESG strategies and CSRD/EU Taxonomy.
  11. Identify and scope innovative pilot projects with suppliers to support CSRD/EU Taxonomy compliance and Science-Based Targets.
  12. Establish mechanisms for reporting and addressing ethical breaches or human rights violations within the organization and supply chain.
  13. Coordinate with Sales to promote the ESG value proposition and support bid processes.
What we're looking for

Skills & Experience :

  1. Experience in the sustainability field, focusing on human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.
  2. Understanding of human rights and ethics activities to facilitate change.
  3. Excellent communication skills in English, capable of articulating the sustainability narrative effectively.
  4. Collaborative approach to complex sustainability solutions.
  5. Strong knowledge of the sustainability landscape with the ability to communicate insights to diverse stakeholders.
