Contemporary Star Energy in Zaragoza, Spain, seeks a Java Developer to design, build, and maintain robust, scalable applications. You will work with Java technologies, Spring, RESTful APIs, and modern CI/CD practices to support business needs and ensure security, reliability, and performance.

Requirements include a bachelor's degree in CS or related field, at least 3 years of Java experience, strong knowledge of Java/Spring/OOP, databases, and optional Docker/Kubernetes.

Qualificações

• At least 3 years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Java, Spring, OOP and design patterns.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and databases (MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• Familiarity with microservices, Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD is a plus.
• Agile/Scrum experience and strong analytical, teamwork skills.
• English proficiency at C1 level, both written and spoken.

Bringing together global automotive leadership and next-generation battery innovation, we lead the evolution of cleaner and smarter mobility. Our large-scale, carbon-neutral battery manufacturing project contributes to the European electrification ecosystem and supports the regional supply chain for battery production.

Strategically located next to Stellantis´ plant in Zaragoza, Spain, the Gigafactory will produce next-generation lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries with a capacity of up to 50 GWh.

We are looking for a Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance applications. You will contribute to the development of modern software solutions, working with Java technologies, microservices, and RESTful APIs to support business needs and ensure the reliability, security, and continuous improvement of our systems.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Developing and maintaining Java/J2EE applications following coding standards and best practices.
• Designing and integrating RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Participating in code reviews, testing, and CI/CD processes.
• Optimizing application performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring system security and reliability.
• Maintaining technical documentation and contributing to architecture and continuous improvement initiatives.

Your profile and qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in Java development.
• Strong knowledge of Java, Spring frameworks, OOP, and software design patterns.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and databases such as MySQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools will be an advantage.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and strong analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
• English proficiency at C1 level, both written and spoken.
• Knowledge of Chinese will be considered a plus.
• Availability to work on-site at our offices in Zaragoza, Spain.
