Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Drive the development and delivery of Services, prioritizing quality code, feature scope, and timely delivery.
  • Write efficient, maintainable code that balances quality with speed to market.
  • Proactively provide pragmatic technical solutions that align with business objectives and delivery timelines.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing by providing clear and actionable feedback during code reviews.
  • Ensure software quality through testing and best practices.
  • Collaborate closely within a cross-functional team and stakeholders to ensure alignment and swift execution of tasks.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to supplement our perpetual questfor betterment.
  • Support ongoing maintenance and enhancement efforts to ensure stable and efficient operation of software systems.

Required Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in Java.
  • Solid experience with Spring and Spring Boot for building scalable, maintainable applications.
  • Hands-on experience in developing RESTful web services and API specifications, e.g. using Swagger.
  • Familiarity with Microservices architecture and related patterns.
  • Experience with relational databases (e.g., Postgres) and migration tools like Flyway or Liquibase.
  • Strong understanding of automated testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Mockito, Selenide) and performance testing tools (Gatling).

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Expertise in Java (Spring, Spring Boot) and microservices architecture.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and an interest in the banking and asset management industry.
  • Fluent in English (B2 level or higher).

Soft skills:

  • Fluent communication skills.
  • Team player: ability to work with teams distributed geographically in different locations.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills/investigating skills on technical matters.
  • Well organised.
  • Good time management and prioritization of tasks
  • Ability to identify problems and suggest mitigating and contingency actions.
  • Proactive, motivated and willing to learn and develop oneself.
