King, a leading interactive entertainment company, seeks a mid-level Java backend developer for Catalog Games in Barcelona to build features, services, tools, and systems powering our games. You’ll design, implement, test, deploy and monitor backend components, balancing speed with reliability in large-scale real-time systems.

You’ll own complete features, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to documentation and practices across production services.

Formación

• Strong Java development skills and CS fundamentals (OOP, design patterns, concurrency, scalability).
• Experience with databases, web development, UNIX environments, and production backend systems.
• Ability to design and implement medium-sized systems or components while contributing to larger systems.
• Experience with established codebases, patterns, and pragmatic improvements.
• Experience with automated testing, code reviews, monitoring, debugging, incident investigation, and production support.
• Ability to take ownership, estimate work, communicate clearly, and collaborate with teammates and stakeholders.
• A pragmatic approach balancing quality, maintainability, reliability, and delivery speed.
• Willingness to share knowledge and improve documentation.
• Understanding of team goals and how engineering work contributes to the product and business.
• Fluency in English.
