Merkle, a dentsu company, is seeking Java Developers to join agile teams in Barcelona. You will design and code Java backend applications, focus on code quality, and participate in all development phases from analysis to delivery.

The role requires a technical degree and Java/J2EE experience, with a collaborative, English-speaking team environment and a flexible hybrid work arrangement in sunny Barcelona.

Formación

• Technical background (Degree in software engineering, computer science or telecommunications)
• Experience with Java/J2EE (1+/2+ years)
• Knowledge of Object-Oriented Design and programming is a plus
• You are a great team player with good English skills
• Experience in Agile environments (Scrum)
• Experience developing RESTful Web Services
• Experience with TDD/BDD
• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL (Oracle)
• Spring, Hibernate, iBatis, Maven, Git, Docker, or Jenkins familiarity

Responsabilidades

• Design and code Java backend applications using a test-driven development approach
• Focus on code quality (refactoring, testing, clean code)
• Be involved in all phases of the development cycle (Analysis to Delivery)
• Deliver increments to the Business in every sprint
• Translate high-level requirements into technical design
• Help improve the team’s ways of working
• Support consumers of your team’s components
