Qaracter - Beyond your Challenge busca un Java Backend Developer para unirse a un equipo tecnológico que trabaja en proyectos bancarios y fintech. Desarrollarás y mantendrás aplicaciones backend y microservicios, colaborando con equipos técnicos y funcionales a lo largo del ciclo de vida del software.

El candidato ideal tiene más de 3 años de experiencia en Java, Spring Boot y desarrollo de APIs, con enfoque en soluciones escalables, pruebas y calidad de código en entornos empresariales

Formación

• 3+ years de experiencia en desarrollo de software con las tecnologías y herramientas requeridas.
• Experiencia sólida en Java 8 y 11 y comprensión profunda de Java Core.
• Experiencia práctica con Spring Boot, Spring Batch y Spring Cloud Stream.
• Experiencia en microservicios y aplicaciones backend empresariales.
• Experiencia en diseño y consumo de APIs (REST, SOAP, OpenAPI).
• Conocimiento de patrones de diseño y principios de ingeniería de software.
• Experiencia con Kafka y arquitectura orientada a eventos.
• Experiencia con Oracle, PostgreSQL y Redis.
• Experiencia con JUnit, Mockito y Postman.
• Experiencia con Git, GitHub, Jenkins y SonarQube en entornos CI/CD.
• Conocimiento de WebSphere y OpenShift.

Responsabilidades

• Diseñar, desarrollar, probar y mantener aplicaciones y microservicios Java back-end.
• Crear soluciones escalables con Java y tecnologías Spring.
• Trabajar con Spring Boot, Batch y Cloud Stream en aplicaciones empresariales.
• Diseñar e implementar APIs REST y SOAP siguiendo buenas prácticas.
• Desarrollar soluciones basadas en eventos con Kafka.
• Trabajar con bases de datos Oracle, PostgreSQL y Redis.
• Realizar pruebas unitarias e de integración con JUnit y Mockito; pruebas con Postman.
• Participar en todo el ciclo de vida del software, desde análisis hasta producción.
• Colaborar con otros desarrolladores, arquitectos y analistas para entregar soluciones de calidad.
• Trabajar con CI/CD usando Git, GitHub, Jenkins y SonarQube.
• Desplegar y mantener aplicaciones en entornos empresariales con WebSphere y OpenShift.
• Contribuir a mejoras técnicas, rendimiento y modernización continua.
• Mantenerse actualizado con tecnologías y buenas prácticas.

Are you a Java Backend Developer with strong experience in microservices, Spring Boot, Kafka, and enterprise applications? Do you enjoy working with modern technologies, designing scalable solutions, and contributing to complex financial technology projects?

At Qaracter, we're looking for a Java Backend Developer to join a technology team working on banking and financial projects. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining backend applications and microservices, working closely with technical and functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java backend applications and microservices.
• Build scalable and robust solutions using Java and Spring technologies.
• Work with Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and Spring Cloud Stream to develop enterprise applications.
• Design and implement REST and SOAP APIs following best practices and software design patterns.
• Develop event-driven solutions using Kafka and contribute to Event-Driven Architecture initiatives.
• Work with relational and non-relational databases, including Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
• Develop and execute unit and integration tests using JUnit and Mockito, as well as support API testing with Postman.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from technical analysis and development through testing, deployment, and production support.
• Collaborate with other developers, architects, functional analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Work with CI/CD tools and practices, including Git, GitHub, Jenkins, and SonarQube.
• Deploy and support applications in enterprise environments using WebSphere and OpenShift.
• Contribute to technical improvements, code quality, performance optimization, and continuous modernization of applications.
• Stay up to date with new technologies, frameworks, programming languages, and software engineering best practices.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of professional experience in software development using the required technologies and tools.
• Strong experience with Java 8 and 11, with a deep understanding of Java Core.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and Spring Cloud Stream.
• Solid experience developing microservices and enterprise backend applications.
• Experience designing and consuming APIs, including REST, SOAP, and OpenAPI.
• Good understanding of software design patterns and software engineering principles.
• Experience with Kafka and Event-Driven Architecture.
• Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Redis databases.
• Experience with testing frameworks and tools such as JUnit, Mockito, and Postman.
• Experience with Git, GitHub, Jenkins, and SonarQube within CI/CD environments.
• Experience with application servers and containers, particularly WebSphere and OpenShift.
• Ability to work effectively in international and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
• English level B2/C1 or higher.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Python.
• Experience with Control-M.
• Knowledge of public cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Experience with reactive programming.
• Fluent Spanish (native or B2/C1).
• Previous experience in banking or financial services.
• Knowledge of financial products, particularly Supply Chain Finance and Confirming.
• Experience working with Confirming core systems.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies and modern software development practices.
