Altia in Madrid is seeking a Java Back-End Software Engineer to join our team on international projects with a European Agency. You will work on back-end development using Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful services, collaborating with front-end teams and implementing secure data storage solutions.

The role involves designing APIs, applying security best practices, and leveraging Docker/Kubernetes, OpenAPI, and modern monitoring tools in a multinational environment.

Formación

• Proficiency in Java and related frameworks (Spring Boot, Hibernate).
• Experience with RESTful APIs and OpenAPI documentation.
• Knowledge of containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and NoSQL (MongoDB, CosmosDB).
• Familiarity with Git workflows (GitFlow, trunk-based) and SVN.
• Strong understanding of the web development cycle and programming techniques.
• Good command of English; experience on European/international projects is a plus.

Minimum Requirements

Required Knowledge

• Proficiency in back-end languages (Java, PHP) and experience with frameworks (Spring Boot, Hibernate, Node.js).
• Strong understanding of the web development cycle and programming techniques and tools.
• Experience with APM tools (Dynatrace, Splunk, Elastic APM) and knowledge of OpenTelemetry for metrics, logs, and traces.
• Proficiency in working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL), including writing complex SQL queries and understanding database design.
• Knowledge of NoSQL document stores (MongoDB, CouchDB, CosmosDB) and understanding of consistency/performance trade-offs.
• Experience with Git workflows (GitFlow, trunk-based) and understanding of legacy systems using SVN.
• Experience in designing, building, and securing RESTful APIs and web services, including OpenAPI/Swagger documentation.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for developing and deploying applicationsHigh level of English.

• Design and develop APIs.
• Participating in the design and creation of scalable software.
• Maintenance of code integrity and organisation.
• Writing clean, functional code on the back-end.
