We areseeking a Java Architect to lead the design and development ofa modular, secure, and scalable backend platform poweringnext-generation digital healthcare applications . Your workwill directly impact the lives of people managing chronic conditionssuch as diabetes, by enabling innovative tools that connect clinicalcare with daily health management.

As part of a visionaryglobal Digital Healthcare Team , you’ll shape a cloud-first,API-driven backend architecture designed to support multipletherapeutic areas, EHR integrations, and user-centric healthexperiences — all while adhering to strict healthcare standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead thearchitecture and development of backend services: consent, survey,in-app messaging, remote patient monitoring, etc.
• Designsecure RESTful APIs , authentication systems, andmicroservices with scalability in mind.
• Ensure datasecurity & privacy compliance: HIPAA, HITECH, FHIR, HL7 .
• Architect solutions on AWS , using SQL/NoSQL,containerization, CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate withfront-end, DevOps, and healthcare data teams to ensure seamlessintegration across services.
• Implement developer efficiencytools for auto-generation of code, test protocols, and tech specs.
• Troubleshoot complex backend issues and optimize forperformance and scalability.

Requirements

• 7+ years in Java backend development.
• 4+ years inmodular backend design using AWS cloud services .
• Experience with FHIR, HL7, PHI data , and healthcaredata integration.
• Solid knowledge of OAuth2, JWT ,containerized microservices (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Provenexperience working in fast-paced, globally distributed teams.
