Tech Lead (Remote - Freelance)

Type: Freelance (3 months)

Commitment: Full-time

About the Role

We’re looking for a talented and motivated Tech Lead to join a mission-driven team building innovative solutions. In this role, you'll lead a high-performing engineering squad, ensure technical excellence, and collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering stakeholders to deliver scalable and impactful software.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and mentor a cross-functional engineering squad, promoting collaboration, excellence, and growth.
- Own architectural decisions and shape the technical strategy to ensure robustness, scalability, and maintainability.




- Work closely with Product to align technical work with business goals and user needs.
- Champion agile methodologies, improving team workflows and development processes.
- Troubleshoot technical challenges and ensure the reliability and performance of systems.
- Stay on top of emerging technologies and trends to drive innovation.
- Encourage knowledge sharing and foster continuous technical development.
- Coordinate with other Tech Leads to align practices and maintain consistency across teams.

What We’re Looking For

- 6+ years of experience as a Tech Lead, Software Engineering Manager, or similar role in an agile environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to find effective, scalable solutions.
- Proven leadership and mentoring abilities with a passion for coaching engineers.
- Experience working in fast-paced, startup-like environments.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Bonus Points For

- Fluency in English and native-level Spanish.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent vocational training.




- Hands-on experience with technologies like React, Ruby on Rails, TypeScript, Swift, Kotlin, or similar.
- Solid understanding of software architecture, cloud (AWS), microservices, and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code tools like Terraform.
