CoastAL Restaurant offers a fresh, classic coastal cuisine featuring chef-inspired dishes, local seafood, seasonal favorites, and indulgent desserts. With both indoor and outdoor seating, it provides a versatile dining experience from quick bites on the beach to romantic dinners with spectacular views.

The restaurant is seeking passionate, enthusiastic, dynamic, and proactive aspiring chefs worldwide who want to experience a unique professional and cultural journey in the United States.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform various food preparations, cooking, and cleaning tasks to maintain an efficient kitchen that delivers high-quality dishes to patrons.
• Complete all tasks on the prep list from the Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef.
• Prepare food items daily in their designated outlet and other kitchen areas.
• Ensure dishes are clean and sanitized, operate dishwashing equipment, and maintain supplies.
• Assist kitchen staff in producing menu items to ensure guest satisfaction and profitability.

ESTIMATED MONTHLY BUDGET

• Projected monthly income: $2,400 (Hourly wage: $15)
• Estimated housing costs: $600/month
• Meals provided during working hours

J1 VISA PROGRAM

This traineeship is part of a J1 visa program designed for young professionals or recent graduates to develop their careers, gain work experience, and engage in cultural exchange.

The total cost for the J1 Visa process and application fees is $1,870, including:

• Final payment upon visa approval: $1,450 (includes $650 for mandatory health insurance)

Disclaimer: The first month of housing must be paid in advance by the candidate. The employer does not cover airfare, which varies depending on the departure city.

• Number of positions: 10
• Hourly wage: $14 / $2,400 per month

About you

To be eligible for a J1 Visa, you must meet the following criteria:

• You are between 18 and 35 years old.
• You have graduated from an accredited institution, hold a relevant degree, and have at least 12 months of professional experience, OR
• You are a young professional with at least 5 years of work experience in the culinary field.
• English proficiency: Intermediate
