IVD Corporate Accounts Director (Southern Mediterranean)

Join Adelman&Partners as an IVD Corporate Accounts Director in the Southern Mediterranean region. We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our digital hematology portfolio in this area. Our client is a start-up revolutionizing cell morphology analysis with high-resolution digital imaging and AI-powered decision support tools, enabling faster and more accurate diagnostics.

Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will oversee the entire sales cycle, from strategic account planning to post-sale expansion. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of laboratory diagnostics, a strong healthcare network, and a proven track record of exceeding multimillion-euro sales quotas. Fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, or Italian, plus English, is required.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of sales experience in IVD or medical devices, selling to clinical or reference laboratories in the region.
  • Experience selling hematology analyzers, digital pathology, or microscopy equipment with deals over €500k.
  • Established network with hospital groups, university clinics, private labs, GPOs, and tenders committees.
  • Proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, or Italian, and English.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to communicate complex scientific concepts.
  • Proficiency with CRM, MS Office / G-Suite, and virtual collaboration tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30%, including occasional European travel.

Responsibilities

  • Drive new business and growth by exceeding revenue targets in hospital, university, and private labs.
  • Manage key accounts and build relationships with C-suite executives, procurement, and KOLs.
  • Identify unmet needs and market opportunities for product positioning.
  • Collaborate with marketing, clinical, and service teams to deliver value.
  • Maintain sales pipeline and forecasts using Salesforce or similar tools.
  • Represent the company at conferences and trade shows.
