Purpose of the role:
As a Business Developer Representative, you will be responsible for identifying sales opportunities, profiling prospective customers, discovering their needs, and driving new business through outbound campaigns.
You will help businesses work better together, move fast, and innovate. As a member of the Sales Development team, you will be the first contact for hundreds of businesses, engaging them proactively to build enthusiasm, identify and qualify their needs, and propose solutions.
You will work towards individual targets and be part of a larger sales team focused on growing our customer base across EMEA. The role involves primarily outbound calls in a phone-based environment.
Responsibilities
- Achieve quarterly Sales Qualified Opportunity (SQO) quotas and meet activity targets daily and weekly.
- Manage a portfolio of accounts to identify high-potential prospects.
- Educate customers about our offerings.
- Execute outbound calls and emails, including cold calls, to decision-makers, building rapport and assessing needs.
- Understand prospects' pain points, gather technical requirements, and align business needs with Cloud solutions, building value for next sales steps.
- Maintain and update prospect and customer data in CRM systems.
- Work towards team and individual KPIs like productivity, conversion rates, opportunities, and pipeline growth.
- Document customer interactions thoroughly to ensure clarity for all stakeholders.
Requirements
- Based in the Barcelona metropolitan area.
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
- Experience in outbound sales, B2B sales, or business development, preferably in IT.
- Understanding of cloud computing, especially Google Cloud Platform.
- Ability to connect business needs with solutions, strong business acumen.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, and professionalism.
- Comfortable working against quotas in a phone-based environment.
- Proficient in general IT skills.
- At least 1 year of experience in IT outbound sales prospecting.
- Experience with cold calling and managing large portfolios.
- Experience with CRM platforms like Salesforce.
- Ability to identify key decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Goal-oriented, proactive, confident, competitive, and tenacious.
- Knowledge of the local market and business environment.
- Full-time position (39h/week, Monday to Friday).
- Hybrid working model in Barcelona.
