We’re now looking for an IT Technician – Systems & Network Support to join our HQ in Leioa (Bizkaia, Spain). In this role, you’ll ensure secure, efficient, and reliable IT systems so that every department can focus on building cutting-edge space technologies. You’ll play a key role in maintaining the IT infrastructure that empowers our international team to push the limits of science and engineering.
Overview
Your mission as an IT Technician is to guarantee that all systems and networks are secure, efficient, and ready to support our team’s daily operations and international projects. Your work will directly impact the success of Satlantis by ensuring a robust technological backbone for our scientific and engineering activities.
Responsibilities
- You will maintain and optimize the company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring security, reliability, and performance.
- You will provide user support and training, making sure colleagues have the tools they need to excel.
- You will manage core platforms, networks, and backups, safeguarding critical systems and data.
What will set you up for success?
- You bring at least 2 years of experience in IT departments or technical support, giving you the foundation to manage complex systems with confidence.
- You have hands-on experience administering Windows Active Directory environments, ensuring seamless user and resource management.
- You are familiar with Fortigate firewalls, D-Link and FortiAP WiFi access points, and HP Aruba switches, enabling secure and reliable network connectivity.
- You have a solid understanding of TCP / IP network concepts and practical experience managing core services such as DHCP and DNS.
- You are proficient with ticketing and remote management tools, allowing you to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
- You demonstrate problem-solving, critical thinking, resilience, and adaptability, helping you navigate dynamic environments.
- You have a B2 level of English (or equivalent), allowing you to communicate and collaborate effectively across teams.
You’ll stand out even more if you bring:
- Familiarity with system and network monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, Nagios), enabling proactive performance management.
- Basic experience in scripting or automation (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) to streamline repetitive tasks.
- Experience using MDM solutions to manage devices efficiently.
- Valuable certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, or NSE Fortinet that demonstrate technical expertise.
- Knowledge of backup, restoration, and verification procedures to ensure data integrity.
- Basic understanding of virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox).
- Experience managing additional devices (e.g., network printers, Teams Room solutions).
- Awareness of cybersecurity best practices, including phishing detection, safe browsing, and credential hygiene.
- Ability to create and maintain technical documentation and user guides for smooth team operations.
