As an IT Systems Engineer specialised in Fircosoft sanction screening solutions, you will work in a team of Application Integration (PTND) responsible for the technical implementation, maintenance, and optimization of the Fircosoft platform within our financial institution. This role involves ensuring the system effectively detects and flags potential violations of sanctions regulations, working closely with various teams, and staying up-to-date with regulatory changes. YOUR CHALLENGE
  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining Fircosoft software and related infrastructure (servers, databases, etc.).
  • Creating, testing, and optimizing Fircosoft rules to accurately identify and flag suspicious transactions and potential sanctions violations.
  • Regularly evaluating system performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing fine-tuning to enhance screening accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborating with IT, compliance, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration with existing workflows and providing support for system-related issues.
  • Ensuring the Fircosoft system adheres to relevant international sanctions regulations, group-wide compliance policies, and internal procedures.
  • Investigating and resolving issues with the Fircosoft system, including filtering engine problems and other system component malfunctions.
  • Maintaining detailed logs of system changes, generating performance reports, and documenting functional requirements and process flows.
  • Keeping abreast of regulatory changes, new sanctions lists, and updates to the Fircosoft platform.
YOUR PROFILE
  • As a system engineer, you improve complex IT systems and sit at the control center during product/solution design.
  • Your tasks range from project management and analysis to quality assurance.
  • In this IT job you have a lot of responsibility and should above all have organizational talent and a high level of abstraction skills.
  • Solid understanding of Fircosoft products, including FircoContinuity, FircoTrust, and Firco Screen & Keep, as well as experience with list management, quality assurance, and audit trails.
  • Familiarity with relevant financial regulations, such as OFAC, UKHMT, EU, and UN sanctions lists, and experience with sanctions screening processes.
  • Strong technical skills, including experience with databases (Oracle), PKI, SSH, certificates, IP networks, load balancing, firewalling, programming languages (Java, Shell/Perl scripting), and messaging technologies (JMS, MQ, Kafka).
  • Ability to analyze data, identify patterns, and draw conclusions to improve system performance and resolve issues.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience in project planning, implementation, and system/user acceptance testing.
  • Understanding of business requirements, system flows, and the ability to translate them into technical solutions. Degree in computer science or systems engineering from a university or technical college with correspondingly knowledge.
  • Fluency in English (C1) is a must.
  • Possess a problem-solving attitude and works independently. Must be very organized, able to balance multiple priorities, and self-motivated.
  • Willingness to participate in the team's rotating 7x24h on-call service.
