A global engineering company is seeking an IT Support Specialist in Madrid to ensure the governance of IT systems. The role requires 2-3 years' experience in level 2 IT support, a school diploma, and proficiency in English. Responsibilities include managing servers, Active Directory, and ensuring operational continuity of IT systems and applications.

Formación

• 2-3 years of experience in a level 2 IT support role.
• Understanding of computer hardware and IT architecture.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure services are restored to operational state promptly.
• Support business applications in responsible locations.
• Maintain servers and attached storage.
• Manage Active Directory.
• Handle communications (Fixed & Mobile).
• Manage file systems and storage.
• Manage permissions and security.
• Develop and maintain scripts.
• Perform patch management.
• Responsible for backups.
• Maintain documentation related to system configuration and changes.

Job Purpose: Ensure governance, guidelines, policies, and procedures are followed to support IT Systems within Sulzer. Use available tools and methods to keep the business operational regarding its IT Systems and related processes.

Requirements:

• School diploma and 2-3 years of experience in a level 2 IT support role.
• ITIL Foundation or higher qualification desirable. Understanding of networking, computer hardware, and their relation to IT architecture and enterprise environment.
• Proficiency in English.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

1. Ensure service and systems are restored to operational state promptly, following resolution and documentation processes.
2. Support business applications in responsible locations.
3. Maintain servers and attached storage.
4. Manage Active Directory.
5. Handle communications (Fixed & Mobile).
6. Manage file systems and storage.
7. Manage permissions and security.
8. Develop and maintain scripts.
9. Perform patch management.
10. Responsible for backups.
11. Maintain documentation related to system configuration and changes.
12. Perform other duties relevant to the role.
13. Understand environmental impacts and manage risks associated with activities.
14. Participate in and support company initiatives.
