Bacardi is seeking an IT SOX Lead to drive the IT SOX workstream within the CAA function, partnering with business and external audit teams. The role leads planning, coordination and execution of IT SOX and supports SAP S4 controls development.

You will oversee internal audits of IT systems, build relationships across departments, and lead a team of auditors and specialists. Travel 10–15% is expected; English proficiency required, Spanish a plus.

Formación

  • 8+ years’ multinational experience; SAP/S4 Hana experience is a plus.
  • Proven SOX IT controls program experience, including scoping, planning, execution, and deficiency evaluation.
  • Experience with GRC technology (AuditBoard) and digital accelerators (Power BI, bots).
  • Experience with AI/automation in IT controls.
  • Internal IT audit across IT risks.
  • Strong writing skills to clearly document findings and recommendations.
  • Ability to build relationships with stakeholders across functions in global teams.
  • Willingness to travel 10-15% (Barcelona/Manilla).

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve audit findings.
  • Manage a team of auditors; conduct evaluations and development feedback.
  • Communicate findings to senior management; report to audit committees.

YOUR OPPORTUNITY

The position of IT SOX Lead for Controls Assurance & Advisory (CAA) is responsible for leading the IT SOX workstream within the Bacardi CAA function, partnering closely with the business and external audit teams. The IT SOX Lead reports directly to the CAA SOX Director, who subsequently reports to the CAA VP. This position is responsible for leading planning, coordination and execution of the IT SOX workstream and fostering relationships with key Prim@s within other business functions to support our goal of driving understanding and operational discipline in controls compliance.

RESPONSIBILITIES - WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART

YOUR KEY FOCUS WILL BE IT SOX Compliance Oversight

  • Lead and manage the IT SOX compliance program, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of IT processes, risks, and controls to assess their effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure that IT controls meet SOX compliance requirements.
  • Implement strategies to continuously improve the testing approach for ITGCs via tools and technology.
  • Perform IT scoping for financially significant systems, key reports, and IT dependencies.
  • Assist in the development of controls as we shift into the SAP S4 environment.
  • Liaise with other CAA Prim@s to drive program efficiencies through technology (such as AI, etc.)
Internal Audit Management
  • Plan, execute, and oversee internal audits related to IT systems, operations, and processes – including pre-implementation reviews and health checks.
  • Develop risk-based audit plans and methodologies to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Identify deficiencies or gaps in controls, policies, and procedures, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to address audit findings and ensure timely resolution of identified issues.
Team Leadership and Development
  • Manage a team of auditors and specialists, providing guidance, mentorship, and support in their professional development.
  • Most of staff (below manager) based in Costa Rica or Manilla.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, excellence, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and provide feedback to enhance team productivity and efficiency.
Stakeholder Communication and Relationship Management
  • Communicate audit findings, recommendations, and risk assessments to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with various departments to facilitate the audit process and promote collaboration.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on IT compliance matters, providing guidance and support to internal stakeholders.
Reporting

Prepare reports, summaries, and presentations for senior leadership, audit committees, and external auditors on IT compliance matters.

SKILLS - THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO CREATE YOUR LEGACY
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience with multi-national companies; SAP experience required, S4 Hana experience is a plus.
  • Deep history of experience with SOX requirements in IT and executing on end-to-end programs (scoping, planning, execution, and deficiency evaluation); Big 4 external audit experience preferred
  • Experience with GRC technology (i.e. AuditBoard) and other digital accelerators (i.e. Power BI, bots, etc.)
  • Experience in leveraging AI/automation is preferred
  • Internal audit experience across a range of IT related risks.
  • Strong writing skills – clear, concise, impactful – drilling into the issue, root cause, quantification, practical recommendations
  • Ability to build strong trusting relationships across all stakeholders, systems, and networks
  • Experience working with co-source audit models for Internal Audit
  • Able to travel 10-15% -- technology teams located primarily in Barcelona and Manilla
  • Proficient in English. Any additional languages are a plus (preferably Spanish).
