IT Service Owner Responsibilities
The IT Service Owner is responsible for operating an end-to-end IT service within the defined SLA, understanding and tracking service dependencies. The IT Service includes the logical IT service and associated applications, with the Application Responsible accountable for specific applications. The Service Owner is the first contact for operations, support, maintenance, and service lifecycle questions. During new feature delivery, the owner ensures proper implementation of non-functional requirements, coordinates transitions into UAT and production environments.
Your Challenges
- Define requirements and prepare hardware for software installations or updates.
- Manage the CMDB using HP Service Manager.
- Order necessary assets such as software packages, databases, or VMs.
- Secure and configure environments according to company standards (DNS, certificates, firewall).
- Coordinate with infrastructure teams for software implementation.
- Manage technical users, roles, AD groups, and security items like IAM Core.
- Understand business permission requirements and provide guidance.
- Perform platform lifecycle management when platforms are out of support.
- Handle software issues, perform error analysis, and liaise with vendors.
- Configure software and hardware for security, logging, and hardening standards.
- Plan and execute system tests for updates and support version upgrades.
- Automate recurring administrative and operational tasks.
- Ensure quality for all production changes.
- Migrate artifacts across stages and manage tools accordingly.
- Support business use-cases and 2nd-level user support.
- Implement and review monitoring systems.
- Maintain operational readiness and system stability.
- Manage permissions and create user profiles.
- Maintain documentation on infrastructure, operations, and security.
Your Profile
- BSc/BA in Computer Science, Maths, Engineering, or similar experience.
- Experience with ISIS-Papyrus, certifications or upgrade experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Linux administration.
- Understanding of Oracle Database concepts.
- Experience with DEV/OPS tools (Bitbucket, Gitlab, etc.) is advantageous.
- Scripting skills in Bash.
- Java development skills are a plus.
- Knowledge of (PL)SQL and workload automation tools like AWA is advantageous.
- Practical experience in solution design and system integration.
- Experience working in a multinational organization.
- Initiative and team-oriented mindset.
- Strong communication skills, especially with internal teams and vendors.
- Fluent in English; Spanish, German, or French skills are a plus.
- Experience with traditional and agile project management methodologies.
