Job Summary :

This role within our Global Infrastructure & Data Center Compute team is crucial for managing the global data center environment across platforms (local, co-lo, cloud, etc.) and supporting staff. The primary responsibilities include ensuring availability, designing solutions to meet business needs, managing costs, and maintaining a secure and compliant environment. This role involves ownership of technical and managerial aspects of our data centers and offshore teams, supporting day-to-day operations and projects related to server hardware / OS, Active Directory, platforms such as Citrix and virtualization, and DBMS like SQL and Oracle.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Manage the Server, VMWare, AD teams, and other data center environments (such as Azure or AWS) to provide end-to-end design and solutions supporting growth, cost control, and security.
  • Collaborate with business units to develop solutions that meet functional and business requirements.
  • Ensure architecture compliance with IT policies and strategies.
  • Support productivity and financial performance objectives through architecture that supports projects and daily operations.
  • Coordinate with vendors and IT functions to address challenges and resolve issues.
  • Monitor and maintain data center devices such as UPS, AC systems, etc.
  • Identify improvements in data center processes, systems, and workflows, and lead initiatives to optimize operations.
  • Lead infrastructure projects and tasks as assigned.

Expected Areas of Competence :

  • At least 10+ years of Data Center experience including designing, implementing, configuring, testing, monitoring, migrating, and securing servers and related technologies.
  • Proficiency with server high availability, disaster recovery, and integrations.
  • Understanding of broad network technologies, including proxies, firewalls, load balancers, virtualization, and database systems.
  • Knowledge of GDPR and data sovereignty compliance.
  • Extensive experience with Windows Server and Active Directory / Azure AD, including SSO and IAM technologies.
  • Experience with SAN / NAS storage and cloud storage solutions.
  • Minimum 2 years managing UNIX systems.
  • Understanding of data movement, archiving, and protection across mediums.
  • Experience with Office 365 security features and automation tools.
  • Knowledge of email, gateway, and database products from Microsoft and other vendors.
  • Desired Skills :

  • Experience with Azure AD Connect, Azure AD Premium, Conditional Access, MFA, and Privileged Identity Management.
  • Network and fiber storage setup expertise.
  • Security and project management certifications.
  • Cloud platform experience (Azure and AWS).
  • Experience with non-Microsoft SSO applications.
  • Scripting skills such as PowerShell.
  • Travel Requirements :

    Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
