Your role and work environment:

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Business Control Specialist to join our Risk Management Team in the Cloud & Tech Foundations Tribe.

As a Business Control Specialist, you will be accountable for implementing IT Risk and Security capabilities and delivering security & risk awareness.

Your key responsibilities:

• Pro-actively advise your colleagues in the departments about IT Risk.
• Work with other departments to establish a powerful risk-aware culture.
• Understand IT-related risk policies, aiming for simple and strong guidance.
• Challenge your colleagues about trends and developments.
• Report on IT-risk themes for risk governing bodies, establishing an integrated risk view.
• Drive IT Risk & Security Control Implementation to effectively meet business requirements.
• Engage Risk owners and delegates in the mitigation actions and plans to keep Risk within Risk Appetite.
• Negotiate to get agreements among First and Second Lines of Defenses (1LoD, 2LoD) to maintain IT Risk within Risk Appetite.
• Think out of the box aiming to leverage new technologies and ways of working.
• Ensure Team meets the timelines defined to ensure compliance is met in time.

• You have a broad understanding of both technical and orange code competences with which you feel comfortable. You continuously strive to develop both yourself and your colleagues in the IT Risk mind-set.
• You are an ambassador for IT Risk. This role requires emphasis on the following:
• Excellent problem-solving skills and are passionate about IT Security & IT Risk.

• Implement one way of working regarding the implementation of IT Security & IT Risk controls within the tribe.
• Ability to navigate and understand the intricacies of both the current and future organization, and you understand the underlying spheres of influence.
• Focused on cross-border collaboration: you set aside your own 'ego' in the interests of achieving the best results - you help others to be successful.
• Able to design technical Security solutions.

Proven track record and technical skills:

• Extensive experience in both IT Security and IT Risk.
• A personality and the capabilities to optimally function within an Agile environment.
• Experience in guiding and realizing change.
• Experience / affinity with Banking is highly recommended.
• Professional and intellectual IT skills, preferably at bachelor or university level. A good understanding of the purpose of the different IT elements (like databases, servers, etc.) is required.
• Track record of consulting / advising. Certification in and / or proven skills in Security and Risk (CISSP and CISM or CGEIT / CRISC certification is desired).
• Excellent oral and written English skills.
