Sulzer Pumps Spain S.A. is seeking an IT Lead Expert to steer the SAP S/4HANA transformation program from design through rollout. You will guide governance, ensure quality, and align IT solutions with business objectives in a large international environment.

The role requires deep SAP S/4HANA expertise, strong leadership, and collaboration with partners and stakeholders across regions. The ideal candidate has 15+ years in SAP-related leadership, fluency in English, and readiness to travel

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 15+ years of experience in SAP consulting, solution architecture, transformation leadership, or program governance.
• Minimum 5–6 years of SAP S/4HANA implementation experience, including large-scale global transformation programs.
• Fluent English and willingness to travel internationally (approximately 25%+).

• Review partner deliverables, estimates, and design recommendations.
• Drive continuous improvement by sharing lessons learned from large programs.

About the role Job Summary The IT Lead Expert is responsible for leading complex IT initiatives and providing expert-level guidance in the design, implementation, and optimization of IT systems and infrastructure. This role ensures alignment of IT solutions with business objectives and drives innovation across the organization. This job profile is intended for recognized subject matter experts in a job area. Required to manage large projects or processes with limited oversight from manager. Coaches, reviews and delegates work to lower level professionals. We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager SAP S/4HANA to join our Business Transformation Program and play a key role in one of Sulzer's most strategic global initiatives. In this position, you will help shape and drive the design, implementation, and rollout of Sulzer's global SAP S/4HANA template. Working closely with program leadership, business stakeholders, and implementation partners, you will provide expert guidance, governance, and quality assurance to ensure successful project delivery and long-term business value. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned SAP transformation professional who enjoys operating at a strategic level while influencing solution design, governance, and delivery across a complex international environment.

What you will do:

• Lead quality assurance activities across all phases of the SAP S/4HANA transformation program.
• Establish and manage quality gates, review frameworks, and deliverable acceptance criteria.
• Review solution designs and technical deliverables to ensure alignment with business requirements and SAP best practices.
• Promote SAP Clean Core principles and support scalable, sustainable solution design.
• Conduct phase-gate and readiness reviews across program milestones.
• Assess project risks, dependencies, open issues, and mitigation plans.
• Provide expert advice and recommendations to program leadership and key stakeholders.
• Facilitate collaboration between business teams, IT functions, SAP specialists, and implementation partners.
• Review implementation partner deliverables, estimates, and design recommendations.
• Challenge solutions that introduce unnecessary complexity, risk, or long-term maintenance effort.
• Support future-state process design and operating model decisions.
• Contribute industry best practices from engineering, manufacturing, project-based, and service organizations.
• Drive continuous improvement by introducing lessons learned and proven practices from large transformation programs.
• Support knowledge transfer and capability development across the organization.
• Promote a collaborative One Sulzer culture focused on teamwork, customer value, and continuous improvement.

What you need to succeed:

Required:

• Required: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• More than 15 years of experience in SAP consulting, solution architecture, transformation leadership, or program governance.
• Minimum 5 to 6 years of SAP S/4HANA implementation experience, including large-scale global transformation programs.
• Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, SAP Activate methodology, global template design, integration, data migration, testing, cutover, and deployment.
• Experience supporting global template design, fit-to-standard workshops, solution governance, and design reviews.
• Deep understanding of manufacturing, engineering, project-based, Engineered-to-Order (ETO), Configured-to-Order (CTO), and service business environments.
• Experience working with senior business stakeholders and major ERP implementation partners.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business recommendations.
• Fluent English.
• Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 25% or more).

Preferred:

• Knowledge of Spanish.
• Experience with SAP BTP and integration technologies.
• Experience with SAP data migration tools and methodologies.
• Understanding of hybrid and on-premises SAP environments.
• SAP S/4HANA certification.
• SAP Activate Project Manager certification.
• SAP Integration and/or SAP BTP certifications.
• TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification.
