Sulzer is seeking an experienced Inhouse Consultant BI & Analytics to join our Global IT BI & Analytics team in Madrid. You will work with senior stakeholders to transform data into business value, moving from traditional BI toward AI-powered analytics solutions.

You will design and deliver scalable analytics, dashboards, and data products using Qlik Sense, Snowflake, and modern data platforms, while driving data literacy and standardised reporting across the organisation.

Formación

• Minimum 5 years in BI/Analytics or inhouse consulting.
• Strong hands-on with Qlik Sense and SQL.
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders and translating needs into analytics.

Responsabilidades

• Partner with business leaders to gather requirements and translate into analytics solutions.
• Design, develop and enhance enterprise BI apps using Qlik Sense.
• Deliver dashboards and insights to support strategic and operational decisions.
• Work with Snowflake and modern data platforms to build scalable data solutions.
• Support harmonisation and standardised reporting across Sulzer.
• Drive self-service analytics and data literacy across the organisation.
• Explore AI and emerging analytics technologies.

About the role

We're looking for an experienced Inhouse Consultant BI & Analytics to join our Global IT BI & Analytics team in Madrid and help drive our data-driven transformation. This is not a pure IT development role. We are looking for someone who can combine strong technical expertise with business consulting skills, building trusted relationships with senior leaders across the business while delivering innovative analytics solutions.

What You'll Be Doing

As part of our global BI & Analytics team, you will work closely with business stakeholders across Sulzer to understand challenges, identify opportunities, and deliver solutions that drive better decision-making.

• Partnering with business leaders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable analytics solutions
• Designing, developing and enhancing enterprise BI applications using Qlik Sense
• Delivering meaningful insights and dashboards that support strategic and operational decision-making
• Working with Snowflake and modern data platforms to create trusted, scalable data solutions
• Supporting Sulzer's "One Sulzer" harmonisation strategy through standardised reporting and analytics
• Driving self-service analytics and data literacy across the organisation
• Exploring and implementing emerging technologies including AI, Generative AI, Copilots and Agentic AI solutions
• Building intelligent applications and data products that connect to Sulzer's modern data platform
• Collaborating with Data Engineering teams to develop robust data models and scalable solutions
• Acting as a trusted advisor to both business and IT stakeholders globally

Essential Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Business Intelligence, Analytics or Inhouse Consulting role
• Strong hands-on experience with Qlik Sense
• Advanced SQL skills
• Experience working with senior business stakeholders
• Strong business consulting and stakeholder management skills
• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical solutions
• Excellent communication and presentation skills

Highly Desirable

• Experience with Snowflake
• Knowledge of modern data warehousing concepts
• Experience with dbt
• Exposure to Power BI, Tableau or Looker
• Experience in AI, Generative AI, Copilots or emerging analytics technologies
• Experience working within an international or global organisation
