Job summary

Cellnex Telecom seeks an IT Product Owner for Sales & Business Support Applications to bridge business stakeholders and IT, translating needs into scalable technology solutions. You’ll manage lifecycle from demand to hypercare, collaborate with international teams, and ensure governance adherence.

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or another relevant technical discipline.
• A degree in Business Administration, Management or related business discipline may be considered with IT experience.
• Postgraduate studies or certifications in Project Management, PMP, ITIL, IT Service Management or MBA will be valuable.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of IT initiatives from demand to go-live and hypercare.
• Manage demand intake, prioritisation and backlog with business stakeholders and IT teams.
• Own operation and evolution of applications: maintenance, incident management and continuous improvement.

Job description

The IT Product Owner for Sales & Business Support Applications acts as the key link between business stakeholders and IT, identifying business needs and translating them into effective, scalable and sustainable technology solutions.

The role manages the end-to-end lifecycle of the applications within its scope, including demand identification, project delivery, solution evolution, maintenance, incident management and continuous improvement.

Working closely with Sales stakeholders, Group IT teams and external technology providers, the position ensures that applications support business priorities, deliver operational value and remain aligned with the Group’s IT governance and architecture standards.

The role has no internal direct reports but provides functional leadership to external delivery and support teams, taking accountability for the quality and effectiveness of their outputs.

What We’re Looking For

Business Partnering and Demand:

• Act as the main IT counterpart for Sales and Business Support stakeholders and users, understanding their needs and translating them into clear IT requirements.
• Manage demand intake, prioritisation and backlog in coordination with business stakeholders, IT teams and PMO.
• Identify new technology opportunities and propose scalable solutions that improve business processes and operational efficiency.

Portfolio and Roadmap:

• Participate in the definition and manage the application portfolio and roadmap for Sales and Business Support processes, aligned with business priorities and IT strategy.

Project Delivery:

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of IT initiatives, from demand identification and requirements definition through implementation, go-live and hypercare.
• Participate in international implementations and provide on-site support for specific country projects when required.

Run and Vendor Management:

• Own the operation and evolution of the applications in scope: maintenance, incident management, performance monitoring and continuous improvement.
• Govern external providers for design, development, configuration and support: set priorities, accept deliverables and ensure quality, timely delivery and SLA compliance.

Governance, Compliance and Budget:

• Ensure compliance with IT governance, architecture principles, security requirements, global standards and applicable templates.
• Support budget and cost control within the assigned application portfolio, promoting the efficient use of resources.
• Track risks and improvement actions across the portfolio and escalates when needed.

Education

• University degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or another relevant technical discipline.
• A degree in Business Administration, Management or a related business discipline may also be considered when combined with solid professional experience in IT solution management.
• Postgraduate studies or certifications in Project Management, PMP, ITIL, IT Service Management or an MBA will be valuable.

Languages

• English: Advanced, must-have.

Experience

• At least five years of professional experience in IT solution management, business applications, IT implementation projects, demand management or comparable roles.
• Demonstrable experience translating business requirements into IT solutions.
• Experience managing the end-to-end delivery and ongoing operation of business applications.
• Experience covering both project delivery and operational activities, including application maintenance, support and incident management.
• Experience coordinating external providers, consultants or technology delivery teams.
• Previous responsibility for directing the work of other people or teams, including external teams without direct hierarchical reporting.
• Experience managing multiple stakeholders in complex, dynamic or changing environments.
• Participation in international or multi-country projects.
