Job Description:

Our client, an international Software radio company specialized in high-performance software for wireless systems, is in full expansion. They seek to incorporate an IT Operations Engineer in their office in Barcelona who will be responsible for ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of their IT systems, including Linux servers, network infrastructure, and physical infrastructure.

Your main tasks include:

• Manage and maintain Linux servers (Debian-based, Redhat, etc.), including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Monitor and maintain networking infrastructure, including local-firewall, DMZ, NAS, VPN.
• Develop and maintain Linux automation and scripting tools in Ansible, Python, Bash, etc.
• Manage and maintain physical infrastructure, including server racks and switches.
• Manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Physical inventory management.
• Perform physical infrastructure monitoring to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Manage and maintain containers (Docker, Kubernetes) and virtualization technologies (Proxmox, VMWare, Hyper-V), with an emphasis on real-time processing.
• Perform basic administration on embedded systems (e.g. firmware upgrades).
• Tune high-performance servers for real-time processing.

We are looking for someone who has...

• A strong foundation in Linux systems administration and network management is key.
• Previous experience with container orchestration and virtualization technologies is valued and experience with cloud environments is a plus.
• Good technical communication skills are essential.
• Candidates should be self-driven and eager to learn more.
• Candidates must be authorized to work within the EU and fluent in English.
