Descripción del empleo

We are looking for an IT Lead to lead our Travel Insurance Customer Interaction Services.

This role is key to managing the full product lifecycle, from identification of business needs to implementation and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring sustainability and cost efficiency, driving initiatives that expand our customer base and optimise the value delivered to the group.

The IT Lead is responsible for the delivery of features and user stories, providing guidance to the team on deliverables and ensuring the flow of the Product through the Squad Backlog.

This role maintains close relationships with IT Leads from other teams, both local and central, as well as business stakeholders of the Travel Transformation Team & Countries.

What you’ll be doing:
  • This role will mainly focus on managing travel digital products:
  • Be accountable for estimates on Change Requests, User Stories, and Project efforts.
  • Develop and manage services as a product across their entire lifecycle: lead ideation, development, launch, pricing, and continual improvement of innovative products to maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Define services from conception to launch/go-live and ongoing maintenance.
  • Build new services: select technical solutions, determine costs, recommend pricing, and set SLAs.
  • Provide Application owners with clear goals and assist in prioritizing development to facilitate sprint planning and task assignment.
  • Assist in shaping business requirements into viable and valuable enhancements.
  • Manage and refine the Product Backlog to achieve goals and optimize work value.
  • Schedule sprint reviews, ensure stakeholder attendance, and lead parts of the meetings, such as summarizing work completed.
  • Coordinate the delivery of the final product to the appropriate users.
What you’ll bring:

Experience, Studies, Skills

  • Strong IT focus with the ability to leverage Agile methodologies, DevOps, and rapid development solutions to meet business needs quickly.
  • Experience in Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and a technical background, preferably with software engineering and coding experience.
  • Experience in Web, UI/UX, and API Development.
  • Desirable: Insurance industry knowledge, especially in travel insurance, and experience working with insurance markets.
  • Ability to work under pressure, quickly adapt to shifting priorities, and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to design solutions based on current and future technologies and architectures.
  • Manage expectations internally and externally without compromising solution integrity amidst changing priorities.
  • Flexibility to work from various locations, often at short notice, and to lead remote teams.
  • Empowering team members, strategic thinking, budget management, and quick adaptability.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills, collaborative team player, strong leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Advanced English proficiency
