Roche is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer to enhance the reliability of their IT infrastructure in Sant Cugat. This role involves managing infrastructure lifecycles, implementing automation solutions, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The PositionAs a IT Infrastructure Engineer at Roche, you will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability, availability, scalability, and performance of our expansive IT infrastructure, spanning on-premises and public cloud environments. You will leverage software engineering principles and your specialized knowledge to optimize the performance and reliability of complex infrastructure platforms and services. Your responsibilities will extend through the entire lifecycle, from inception to decommissioning, ensuring continuous improvements to meet and exceed the highest standards.
Job Responsibilities
Manage Roche's infrastructure lifecycle, from design to retirement, ensuring reliability, availability, and performance through automation
Resolve incidents and maintain compliance with regulatory standards, security, and cost practices
Support audit efforts and ensure infrastructure meets SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs
Handle tasks related to networking, DDI, access points, and cabling coordination across datacenters and campus workspaces
Coordinate hardware provisioning, management of VLANs, and server administration
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployments
Develop self-healing features and contribute to Disaster Recovery plans
Collaborate with vendors to optimize services and stay updated on emerging technologies
Manage backup services, patching, and AWS clinical server deployments, maintaining thorough documentation for all processes
Job Requirements
Excellent interpersonal skills and strong oral and written communication skills
Proficiency in the Spanish and English language; knowledge of German, or Chinese is a plus
Attention to detail and accuracy following processes
Proven customer and delivery-focused mindset
Scripting and automation skills with knowledge in infrastructure as code
Experience working with infrastructure systems, software engineering, and DevOps principles
Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools
Ability to research, learn, innovate, and share knowledge continuously
Effective collaboration with team members across different locations and cultural backgrounds
Problem-solving and decision-making skills, and the ability to function independently with low supervision.
Technology Skills
Experience with Windows, Linux Operating Systems and Vmware or Nutanix virtualization
Experience with ITSM (SNOW)
Experience with infrastructure automation tools and scripting languages such as Powershell, Ansible, Jenkins, Puppet, GitLab, and others
ISO27001
Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (LogicMonitor, Nagios, ELK).
Experience with test automation tools (TestInfra, Molecule, InSpec).
Education / Years of Experience
4-7 years of relevant work experience or
2-5 years with a Bachelor’s degree or
1-3 years of relevant work experience, preferably with a Master’s degree and open to Master graduates with previous practical experience (e.g., internships in automation)
At least 1 year of experience in multinational work environments as a systems or software engineer.

Sant Cugat - 40% required office assistance
Moderate travel required and ability to work across multiple time zones, including on-call, maintenance and extended hours of work
