We are seeking a dedicated IT Help Desk Specialist to join our vibrant educational environment and provide exceptional IT support to staff and students.

Role Overview

The IT Help Desk Specialist is responsible for supporting the school's IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of technology to meet the learning and administrative needs of the school. This includes troubleshooting, maintaining equipment, and collaborating with staff to integrate technology into educational activities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide first-line IT support to staff and students for hardware, software, and network issues.
2. Install, configure, update and manage software applications and operating systems.
3. Assist in maintaining network security, including firewalls, antivirus, and access controls.
4. Support user account management and permissions (Active Directory, Optimus and Google Workspace).
5. Conduct regular data backups and ensure disaster recovery protocols are in place.
6. Maintain records of IT assets, licences, and warranties.
7. Offer training and guidance to staff on the use of IT tools and resources.
8. Collaborate with teachers to integrate technology into classroom activities.
9. Liaise with external vendors for equipment repairs and IT services.
10. Ensuring GDPR protocols are in place.
11. Keep up to date with AI platforms and permissions.
