HARTING Technology Group is building a new Tech Hub in Barcelona and seeks the founding IT Business Domain Partner Operations. You will own the IT roadmap for manufacturing and supply chain, turning business needs into value-driven IT initiatives.

You’ll collaborate with plant managers, drive cross-system integration, and help shape our global IT strategy. The role demands 10+ years at the IT-business interface, hands-on SAP/MES/APS, and strong communication with international leaders.

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years at the intersection of business and IT in manufacturing contexts.
• Experience as IT Business Partner/BRM or Domain Lead in a large international company.
• Solid knowledge of manufacturing and supply chain processes, ideally discrete manufacturing.
• Hands-on SAP, MES and APS; Lean mindset.
• Fluent English; German a plus.

HARTING is a family-owned technology group founded in 1945 and headquartered in Espelkamp, Germany, and one of the world's leading providers of industrial connectivity solutions. With around 6,000 employees and its own sales companies and production plants worldwide, the group is growing strongly, driven among others by its investment in the data centre market. We are building a new Tech Hub in Barcelona that will serve the whole HARTING group globally, and we are looking for the founding members of its IT Business Domains team.

The role

As IT Business Domain Partner Operations, you will be the business's single point of contact in IT for manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, quality and maintenance. You don't take orders, you shape demand. You understand the business well enough to anticipate what it needs, turn requests into well-founded initiatives, help leaders make the trade-offs, and make sure the promised value is delivered. Our Project Management hub and technology teams handle delivery; you own the what and the why.

What You Will Do

• Own the IT roadmap for MES, APS, demand planning, logistics, quality management and supply chain.
• Work with plant managers and supply chain leaders on their priorities, and turn those priorities into clear, valued initiatives.
• Drive end-to-end integration across ERP, MES, WMS, APS and the shop floor.
• Push standardisation, global templates and operational transparency (OEE, service level, quality KPIs).
• Run the domain committee where business leaders prioritise, and track the value delivered.

What You Bring

• 10+ years at the intersection of business and IT, with deep functional knowledge of manufacturing and supply chain.
• Experience as an IT Business Partner, BRM or Domain Lead in a large international company, and/or as a functional consultant at a leading tech consultancy (Big Four). Ideally both.
• Solid knowledge of manufacturing and supply chain processes, ideally in discrete manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with SAP (PP, MM, QM, PM, EWM), MES and APS solutions, and a Lean mindset.
• You know how to write a blueprint, challenge a request and say no constructively.
• Fluent English. German is a strong plus.

Nice to have: SAP S/4HANA, SAP IBP, Siemens Opcenter or MPDV, Industry 4.0 / IIoT.
