Job Description :

An Investment Associate provides critical financial analysis, primarily through building and optimizing financial models that assess project performance over their lifecycle. The role involves supporting business development and portfolio management activities in Europe & New Markets, including structuring analyses and communicating investment recommendations.

Responsibilities :

  • Build and refine financial models tailored to each project's operational, commercial, and financial specifics.
  • Analyze new investment opportunities to determine optimal financial structures and sources of finance.
  • Interpret complex financial data for project bids, transactions, and M&A activities.
  • Present analyses and recommendations to senior management, aligning with investment goals.
  • Prepare detailed documentation, including Project Information Memoranda for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with project management teams and external advisors to support project development.
  • Conduct sensitivity and scenario analyses to evaluate financial robustness.
  • Review procurement and financial documents with attention to project-specific requirements.
  • Participate in bid and project reviews, including pro forma preparations.
  • Manage multiple projects at different stages, working closely with team members.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities) :

Successful candidates will possess:

  • Over 8 years of experience in financial modeling and analysis.
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is preferred.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish (C2 level) is mandatory.

Professional Qualities :

  • Ability to manage tasks efficiently under tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
  • Capability to multitask, problem-solve, and innovate in a fast-paced environment.

Computer Skills :

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and PC-based programs.
