Summary

The role holder is an entrepreneurial-minded and self-driven full-time investment analyst. They will work in a highly entrepreneurial and inspiring environment to become an integral part of our team. As a Private Equity Investment Analyst, they will contribute to deal sourcing, due diligence, investment analysis, and submission of proposals to the Board of Directors. Their expertise and strategic insights will be instrumental in identifying promising investment opportunities and guiding our portfolio companies towards success.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Opportunities deal flow sourcing: Actively network with industry stakeholders, participate in PE/VC related events, research major industry trends, and identify the most promising investment opportunities.
  2. Financial modelling: Identify main business KPIs, analyze company traction, define financial projections, conduct valuation analysis, and assess the impact of proposed transactions.
  3. Prepare investment memos: Prepare documents for the Board's approval, summarizing investment information, highlighting key value drivers, and assessing main risks.
  4. Monitor and manage portfolio companies: Provide strategic guidance and support to drive growth and value creation.
  5. Support acquisition/disinvestment and due diligence processes: Collaborate with external providers during these processes.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in M&A or VC/PE.
  • Strong ability to review and analyze financial statements.
  • Proven transaction track record.
  • Keen interest and understanding of the PE/VC ecosystem, market dynamics, and emerging trends. Highly analytical with strong business acumen.
  • International profile is desirable.
  • Experience in developing economies, such as BRICS, is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of portfolio risk and ability to run attribution analyses on investment data.
  • Strong skills in financial modeling.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, dedicated, and revenue/target driven.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear reports.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills. Independent, accountable, and solution-oriented.
