Investment Accounting & Reporting Associate
Our opportunity
- As an Investment Accountant, you will be responsible for the monthly and quarterly closing and reporting, including maintenance and reporting of local regulation reporting.
Your role
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Performing the monthly hard close process and delivering investment data to ensure efficient, high-quality output with proper sign-off procedures.
- Managing the monthly and quarterly closing for European and Latin American entities under Local and IFRS standards.
- Implementing changes related to chart of accounts, valuation principles, and reporting requirements at local or group levels.
- Ensuring compliance of the sub-ledger with local and group requirements such as GAAP, SAP, IFRS, and internal policies like SOX.
- Resolving operational issues identified by the accounting team or other functions, maintaining high service quality and managing complex issues per the Group Incident Management Policy.
- Providing insightful reports to CIOs and CFOs on investment accounting results and data trends.
- Analyzing and explaining the main drivers of investment results across asset classes, lifecycle, and financial statements using tools like SAP BI, BW.
- Ensuring the accuracy of financial figures and compliance with new reporting standards.
- Participating in various international projects.
Your Skills and Experience
Ideal candidates will have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance, with 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Preferred: a Master's degree or higher in a related field, with advanced accounting knowledge.
- Good understanding of investments and financial markets.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS standards.
- Expertise in investment sub-ledger systems such as SAP FAM.
- Proficiency in Office tools.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are advantageous.
- Certifications such as CA, CPA, or ACA, with at least 2 years post-qualification experience.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude.
- Ownership mindset, resilience under pressure, teamwork, and client focus.
- Global perspective to understand multinational dependencies.
