Investment Accounting & Reporting Associate

Our opportunity

  • As an Investment Accountant, you will be responsible for monthly and quarterly closing and reporting, as well as maintaining and reporting local regulation compliance.

Your role

Your main responsibilities include:

  1. Performing the monthly close process and delivering investment data with sign-off procedures.
  2. Managing monthly and quarterly closings for European and Latin American entities under local and IFRS standards.
  3. Implementing changes related to chart of accounts, valuation principles, and reporting requirements.
  4. Ensuring sub-ledger compliance with GAAP, local statutory, SAP, IFRS, and internal policies, including SOX.
  5. Resolving operational issues within the accounting department, managing complex issues per Group policies.
  6. Providing insightful reports to CIOs and CFOs on investment results and data trends.
  7. Analyzing main drivers of investment results across asset classes using tools like SAP BI, BW.
  8. Maintaining high-quality financial figures and implementing new reporting requirements accurately.
  9. Participating in international projects.

Your Skills and Experience

Ideal candidates will have:

  1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance, with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  2. Preferred: Master's degree and advanced accounting knowledge.
  3. Good understanding of investments and financial markets.
  4. Strong knowledge of IFRS and experience with investment sub-ledger systems like SAP FAM.
  5. Proficiency in Office tools and English; additional languages are a plus.
  6. Certifications such as CA, CPA, or ACA with relevant experience are preferred.
  7. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and proactive skills.
  8. Ability to work under pressure, take ownership, and work well in a team.
  9. Global perspective on multinational dependencies.
