Capacity Planning Team - Planning Analyst

The Capacity Planning Team provides AMZL with cost-optimal and flexible capacity solutions for in-station operations, year-round, enabling the business to scale for seasonal peak demand increases. This role is based out of the London corporate office.

The ideal candidate is passionate about leveraging data to deliver actionable insights that impact daily business, has a strong record of delivery, and experience in driving execution in a cross-functional environment backed by analysis and data. They thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working with large amounts of data, and relish the challenge of solving highly complex and sometimes ambiguous problems.

A day in the life

As a Planning Analyst, you will work on the weekly cadence of generating labor plans for AMZL delivery stations, ensuring organizational preparedness for the future. You will analyze execution gaps to improve future plans, work cross-functionally, and build key relationships to facilitate decision-making and actions that optimize AMZL operations. You will challenge the status quo and strive for continuous improvement.

A successful candidate enjoys problem-solving, is comfortable working with big data from multiple sources, and is enthusiastic about partnering across teams to deliver results. You should have an internal drive to challenge the status quo, possess excellent analytical skills, and have strong written and verbal communication skills. Being a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, naturally curious, and detail-oriented are essential qualities.

Minimum qualifications

• Degree obtained within the last 2 years in engineering, statistics, computer science, business analytics, information systems, or related fields.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and SQL.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred experience

• Work experience in operations, supply chain, or logistics.
• Knowledge of VBA and exposure to labor or production planning.
• Experience working with data warehouses.
• Cross-functional collaboration experience.
• Experience in complex problem solving and root cause analysis in a business environment.
• Knowledge of supply chain management and transportation concepts.
