Drees & Sommer España is seeking an intern to join its international and dynamic team in Madrid, supporting technical due diligence projects for commercial properties. You will assist in feasibility studies, review technical documentation, and monitor costs, timelines, and quality across planning, design, permitting, construction, and delivery stages.

The role emphasizes strong consulting and analytical skills, bilingual English and Spanish (C1), and the opportunity to gain hands-on experience

Formación

• Active Student Status with the ability to sign an internship agreement (Convenio de Prácticas).
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Industrial Engineering, Facility Management, or related field.
• Interest in the Real Estate sector.
• Strong consulting and analytical skills.
• High communication skills, proactive mindset and willingness to take responsibility.
• High level of English and Spanish (C1).

Responsabilidades

• Support technical due diligence projects for commercial properties.
• Prepare feasibility studies for development or refurbishment projects.
• Review and analyze technical documentation, drawings and reports.
• Monitor costs, timelines and quality through planning and delivery phases.
• Assist with day-to-day project management tasks.
• Verify compliance with Spanish and EU regulations and standards.
• Assess or certify Sustainability- or ESG status of buildings.
• Collaborate with international teams to deliver high-quality projects.

Job Description

Are you ready to develop your expertise in the consulting area? As an intern, you will join an international and dynamic team, supporting technical due diligence projects. Sounds exciting?

Key Responsibilities

• Support the team in conducting technical assessments of commercial properties (so called technical due diligence -TDD) and assist in the preparation of due diligence reports for corporate clients and investors
• Support the team in preparing feasibility studies for property development or refurbishment projects, as well as in monitoring the execution of such projects
• Assist in the review and analysis of technical documentation, drawings, and reports
• Provide support in monitoring costs, timelines, and quality throughout planning, design, permitting, construction, and project delivery
• Assist with tasks related to the day-to-day management of projects
• Support the verification of compliance with applicable Spanish and EU regulations and standards
• Assist in assessing or certifying the Sustainability- or ESG status of buildings
• Collaborate with internal (international) teams and support the timely delivery of high-quality projects

Qualifications

• IMPORTANT: Holding an Active Student Status and having the possibility to sign an internship agreement with your educational institution (Convenio de Prácticas)
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Industrial Engineering, Facility Management, or a related field
• Interest in the Real Estate sector
• Strong consulting and analytical skills
• High communication skills, proactive mindset and willingness to take responsibility
• A high level of English and Spanish is required (C1)
