Velto Renewables, a CDPQ subsidiary, is seeking a Project Engineer intern to join the Madrid team. You will assist in monitoring plant performance, support international M&A activities for wind and solar, and provide corporate support as part of the Asset Management team in Madrid.

Ideal candidates are pursuing engineering degrees, fluent in English and Spanish, with strong data management skills and advanced Office use. Graphic editor skills are a plus.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or similar.

Velto Renewables (Velto), a subsidiary of CDPQ (Caisse de Dépôt et Placement de Québec), is looking for a Project Engineer (intern) to join its team in Madrid, and to assist in the Asset Management Team in Madrid.

Velto owns and operates more than 130 solar photovoltaic and wind projects in Spain and France, with a total installed capacity exceeding 607 MW. These assets generate over 936 GWh of clean energy annually, enough to power more than 266,000 homes, while avoiding over 77,000 tonnes of CO² emissions each year. Additionally, Velto provides asset management services for La Caisse’s 25% investment in the London Array, one of the world’s largest offshore wind farms. Located 20 km off the coast of Kent, this 630 MW project produces over 2,300 GWh annually, preventing 287,500 tonnes of CO² emissions each year.

We are looking for motivated students looking to start their professional career in renewable energy being part of a dynamic and to be involved in the global picture of the company. His/her main tasks would be:

• Monitor plant performance data and flag underperformance issues.
• Support M&A activities for wind and solar internationally.
• Corporate support.

Desired education and competencies

• Student of Bachelor’s and-or Master’s degree in relevant discipline (Engineering or similar);
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Spanish;
• Be familiar with data management
• High proficiency use of Office, especially Excel and Power Point;
• Graphic editor skills would be an asset;
