Vector Renewables España Slu is seeking an Electrical Trainee based in Madrid, Spain. This part-time internship within the Technical Advisory Department involves reviewing electrical engineering documentation and supporting project teams globally.

The ideal candidate holds an engineering degree in electrical or electronic fields and is fluent in Spanish and English. Experience with tools like PVsyst and DIgSILENT will be beneficial.

Formación

• Strong technical knowledge of PV plant working principles.
• Experience in design/construction of energy plants and/or substations.
• Technical knowledge of main equipment: PV modules, inverters, transformers.

Responsabilidades

• Review detailed engineering documentation for projects under construction.
• Perform electrical studies for Solar PV plants and wind farms.

Job Description

As part of the Technical Advisory Department, the candidate will join the engineering team to provide services worldwide. The position is based in Madrid, Spain, and the main activity is to perform electrical detailed engineering reviews for projects under construction or under development/design stage worldwide. The role also involves engineering designs and support during Technical Due Diligence (TDD) services in electrical matters.

Main Responsibilities

• Review detailed engineering documentation for projects under construction.
• Review technical documentation related to electrical and communications issues.
• Perform electrical studies for Solar PV plants (and wind farms) worldwide.
• Support the consultancy team as an electrical specialist during Technical Due Diligence.
• Perform engineering drawings and specifications (i.e., for EPC tendering).
• Perform advisory activities.

Key Requirements

• Engineering degree: electrical or electronic.
• Technical knowledge of PV plant working principles.
• Technical knowledge of main equipment: PV modules, inverters, transformers, weather stations and substations.
• Experience using specific software: PVsyst and DIgSILENT.
• Computer skills: Microsoft Office package, AutoCAD, Google Earth.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
• Driving license.

Desired Requirements

• Experience in design/construction of energy plants and/or substation.
• Technical knowledge of energy storage systems.
• Technical knowledge of energy markets.
• Electrical design software: ETAP and DIgSILENT.
• Experience in wind projects.
