International collaborative and culturally engaged BAR Studio

Specialising in the design of hotels and resorts throughout Asia Pacific and Australasia, we have established a portfolio of refined and sensitively realised projects including Park Hyatt Sydney, Rosewood Beijing, and Rosewood Phuket.

We are committed to design responses that ground each project in a material and aesthetic landscape. Above all else, we value material and spatial quality, detail, and the integrity of the designed outcome.

The key to creating successful design outcomes lies in our personal approach and our creative and professional collaboration with strong, cohesive, and effective consultant teams. We structure our studio so that key senior members are involved across all projects, ensuring each project is prioritised companywide, with our directors and key staff integrally involved in all aspects of design and delivery.

The Role

Finding people who are a good fit for our studio is important to us. We have a new opportunity for an Interior Designer to join our growing team. Working closely with the Design Leader, you will be the lead team member responsible for implementing the design of designated areas of a hospitality project from concept through to completion. Collaboration with the Madrid Team and frequent interaction with the Melbourne team will require fluency in English.

This exciting opportunity suits a collaborative, proactive, and highly skilled individual with a high attention to detail to take an approved concept through design development and documentation to achieve an exceptional outcome.

Responsibilities
  1. Creation of design in collaboration with the project design team;
  2. Developing the design in 3D SketchUp and 2D AutoCAD;
  3. Communication with internal and external stakeholders;
  4. Delivering concept presentations and documentation drawing sets;
  5. Ensuring quality assurance to comply with current regulations and scope requirements.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Fluent in spoken and written English;
