About the Role:

An opportunity has arisen for a temporary interim Maintenance Technician position to join our Maintenance Department in Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Undertaking all repair and maintenance jobs as assigned in accordance with company and departmental standards.
2. Maintaining the hotel and its equipment to a proper standard.
3. Carrying out various engineering routines as required.
4. Recording all necessary information in a correct manner.

Specific Duties Include:

• Providing a friendly, courteous and professional service at all times.
• Maintaining good working relationships with all colleagues.
• Complying with local legislation as required.
• Responding to any departmental changes as dictated by the needs of the industry, company or hotel.
• Being flexible and extending job duties to carry out any reasonable duties within the job capability as assigned.
• Attending trainings and meetings as required.

Maintaining and Repairing:

• Lighting and power distribution systems and equipment.
• Electrical equipment and appliances.
• Heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems and equipment.
• Hot and cold-water systems and equipment.
• Rainwater and sewage systems and equipment.
• Catering equipment.
• Recreational systems and equipment.
• Audio-visual equipment.

Carrying Out:

• Minor building, carpentry and decorating works as required.
• Installation works as required.
• Recording job requests, defects and works carried out.
• Following the correct procedure for the requisition and issue of spare parts and materials.
• Adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Maintaining a clean workplace.
• Providing cover for absent colleagues when required.
• Staying on call in case of emergency within the property.

Qualifications:

Professional background in MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) or civil work issues.

Experience:

1-2 years.

Competency Level:

Level 10.
