The Role

As a Technical Consultant, you will be a member of the Veeva Systems Professional Services group working on providing consulting and technical architecture design on project teams implementing Veeva Vault R&D applications and Vault Platform cloud solutions to companies in the life sciences industry.

As a member of our Professional Services team, the Technical Consultant will guide customer implementations by providing expertise with solution architecture design, technical integration design, and Vault Platform best practices. The Technical Consultant is a customer advocate working closely with other Veeva teams (Services, Product, Sales, Strategy) to ensure customer success today and in the future.

This is a remote, full-time, permanent role with Veeva. This is a customer-facing role, and we have no work location requirement as long as you are in close proximity to an airport and are able to meet future travel requirements. Short visits to customer sites in Europe are very likely.

What You'll Do

1. Provide subject matter expertise on the Veeva Systems implementation, Vault R&D product suite, Vault Platform, technical design, and Software as a Service (SaaS) implementation best practices.
2. Design and implement cloud-based integrations.
3. Design and provide subject matter expertise for the development of custom applications.
4. Implement Java-based solutions using the Vault Java SDK.
5. Contribute to our professional services knowledge base.
6. Develop internal and external tools to help our customers and our consultants.
7. Partner with other parts of the organization to deliver technical presentations to current and prospective customers to demonstrate the value of Veeva’s solution.

Requirements

1. 3+ years of experience with integration architecture, design, and development for enterprise/cloud software (Salesforce.com, PeopleSoft, Oracle, Siebel, SAP, Workday, etc.) or document/content management systems (Documentum, OpenText, SharePoint, etc.).
2. 3+ years of customer-facing technical consulting experience.
3. 3+ years of development experience with at least one of the following languages – Java, .NET, Python, C#, or C++.
4. Experience building solutions and interfaces in the cloud, SaaS applications using REST APIs.
5. Excellent presentation skills.
6. Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process.
7. Ability to articulate integration design patterns.
8. Ability to travel up to 10%.

Nice to Have

1. Experience in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry.
2. Experience with Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, or Safety business processes.
3. Experience with GxP regulations and software validation process.
4. Experience with source code control systems.
5. Amazon Web Services (AWS) tools such as Lambda and EC2.
6. Health & wellness programs.
