Let’s Talk About The Role

The Instrumentation & Controls Technician, with completed level two competencies, disassembles, inspects, cleans, repairs, calibrates, tests, and performs periodic maintenance of field instruments, equipment systems, and controls. Evaluates and determines necessary modifications, performs complex repairs, or removes instruments or devices needing overhaul during scheduled maintenance or troubleshooting unscheduled work.

Responsibilities
  • Record and report abnormal functions or out-of-tolerance conditions, initiate corrective actions, and document activities.
  • Reinstall, test, evaluate, calibrate, and maintain instruments or devices after repairs.
  • Communicate with customer staff regarding calibration, repair, and operation of equipment.
  • Follow approved procedures for equipment, calibration, maintenance, and safety.
  • Perform other duties to support FieldCore’s vision and values.
Requirements
  • Field of study preferred or equivalent related work experience.
  • Appropriate license or certification as required by law.
  • English proficiency is advantageous.
  • Experience in instrumentation, controls, installation, calibration, maintenance, or equivalent.
  • Understanding of physical standards of mass, temperature, flow, and pressure.
  • Working knowledge of computers, blueprints, schematic diagrams, and manuals.
  • Team-oriented, quality-focused, and able to work independently.
  • Strong organizational skills, willingness to travel extensively, including internationally, and work flexible hours, including holidays and weekends.
