Offer Description

The research assistant will be responsible for the cleaning and efficient automated
processing of economic data, as well as the extraction and analysis of such data using
Python or similar software tools. The role also involves the development and estimation
of empirical models through maximum likelihood methods, Bayesian approaches, and/or
machine learning techniques. The candidate is expected to implement these models
using software such as Stata, Matlab, or R. Additionally, the position includes the
academic and public dissemination of the resulting scientific findings.

Proven knowledge of advanced machine learning techniques, including both
supervised and unsupervised learning, primarily using Python and R.

Specific Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Applied Statistics or Mathematics, along
with a Master’s degree in Economics, Statistics or Mathematics. Equivalent degrees
from previous academic programs (such as “Licenciatura” or long-cycle Engineering
degrees) will also be considered
