A cultural exchange organization is inviting applications for the 2026 residency program in Spain focusing on land-related fields. Selected participants will engage in various artistic and cultural activities while receiving accommodation and a stipend. This program aims to support artists and cultural producers, particularly from rural areas and Ukraine, in exploring topics such as pastoralism and landscape dynamics.
Inland is inviting artists, cultural producers, and researchers working in land-related fields from countries participating in the Creative Europe programme to apply for the 2026 Inland exchange programme in Spain. This programme is part of the Pastoral Twilight project, developed in collaboration with ARE: Woods (Czechia) and BAU (Italy).
The selected participant will join one of Inland's existing lines of work, including pedagogical programmes around pastoralism, landscape analysis and dynamics through sensory components such as sound and edible elaborations, design and architectural experimentation, rural activations, forest restoration, and more.
Experience related to rural living and farming will be highly valued. Inland encourages applications from cultural workers based in rural areas and/or from Ukraine.
Accommodation will be provided in a private bedroom at an Inland Village house or at the Inland space in Madrid, the Centre for the Approach to the Rural.
The residency includes a monthly stipend. Travel costs and accommodation are covered. An additional budget is available for event and presentation production during the residency. The resident will also be invited to participate in the Forest Symposium in the Orlické Mountains, Czechia, at the end of July 2026.
